Singaporean loves their seafood and it seems like the Louisiana style of enjoying seafood from the boil has arrived at our shore with outlets like Cajun Kings, Dancing Crab and Crab In Da Bag. My gang of friends decided to pay Crab In Da Bag at Big Splash a visit one weekend with a platoon of 12 adults and 5 kids. Lucky we made a reservation as the place is brimming with diners digging into the food using the bare hands laid on top a sheet of waxed paper.
Kiddie's Bag 3/5
As there were kids in the group, we ordered the Kiddie's Bag ($13) which is served in a plastic bag with the linguine, sausages and corn on the cob tossed in a delightful tomato based sauce. The kiddie's bag also comes with a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy juice and a serve of jelly. It was something simple that will keep the kids busy.
Chicken Wing 3.5/5
As we all know kids love deep fried stuff, so we also ordered some Chicken Wings ($10) for them. Well marinated and with the chicken absorbing the flavours, they are pretty juicy and good.
Caboodle Boil 4.5/5
It was quite an experience dining at Crab in Da Bag. It did not come cheap as our bill comes up to about a thousand dollar. The highlight definitely is the caboodle boil where one can tuck into the natural sweetness of the seafood.
